The University of Louisville Clinical and Translational Research Buiding has received the prestigious LEED Gold status issued by USGBC for building certification.  This is the first Laboratory in the state to receive LEED certification, and among the largest of its size in the United States.   The A/E team was met with an extreme challenge because of the fact that the owner did not start this project with a requirement for LEED, until after it was designed and construction was under way. Because Staggs & Fisher had designed this project for energy efficient operation (even without LEED requirements) from the beginning, it only required minor changes to become certified.

The University of Louisville Clinical and Translational Research Building Opened on October 12, 2009.  Click
